you’ll probably move right through
me on my way to you!
-Finger Eleven
The other night as I was driving home I was being tailgated by some SUV type thing. I was going the speed limit as I had already seen two cops during my trip (and also because I’m still a little nervous from my last time getting pulled over) and it was rather dark. I’ve seen lots of deer and even some elk on that strech of road and was also keeping an eye out of them. It is a high way with two lanes in each direction, and no one else was in sight. This tailgater could have gone around me at any point. I slowed down, thinking that would make them go around me, but no. They got even closer.
And closer.
And I went slower and slower.
Eventually I was doing 40 in a 65 and they still wouldn’t go around me. Lol.
But then they followed me when I got off at my exit. O_O (Damn me always using my turn signal) And my cell phone was out of comission (or else I could have called that agressive driving number, or tell my Dad to get out a shot gun and wait for me on the porch) Stupid mountain dew.
However, I was not scared as there is a police station two blocks away from my house, on my way. (Well, I was a little nervous.)
But then they turned 3 blocks before mine. I was relieved.
I don’t get it why people must do things like that. I know that I was agrivating them by going slower, but …I don’t want to go faster than I have to, especially at night with cops all over and a warning already under my belt. I wasn’t impeding traffic…it was 11pm on a Sunday night. Just about all the roads were empty. S/he was so close their head lights disapeared behind my spoiler :/
I seriously thought about ’seeing a deer’ and slamming on my breaks. But I love my car, and my life, dearly, and didn’t.
I am guilty of tailgating. Its bad, I know, but they swerved across lanes of traffic and went slow in my lane. I had to slam on my breaks, almost locking them up, so that I wouldn’t hit them. I just stayed close to them. Again this area of the street had two lanes, but there was other traffic in the left one, and I had to turn right in a mile or so. But I didn’t get nearly as close as the guy Sunday night. (I hate yellow Focus drivers anyway, lol).
I think they need to make the driving test harder, or teach it in schools again, or raise the age or kick all those retard Cali people out of Co, lol. Something needs to happen. If I felt safer on the bus, I’d just take that. But I don’t. Even most of the drivers freak me out.
This is probably one of the main reasons when I started looking for a new car my #1 thing was safety, crash test ratings. Not because I’m a bad driver (I have my moments, as we all do, but I am as safe as possible) but because everyone is so agressive on the road.
(ack, didn’t mean to do on a drivers rant)
My phone hasn’t recovered, it stopped working as well as it had been yesterday morning. I would get voicemail 6 hours latter, text messages never, couldn’t make calls or send texts, so I switched my number over to my Dad’s old phone. I got so many texts and voicemails once it was all figured out. At least I’ve got a phone now, though parts aren’t nearly as cool, and it doesn’t have a camera or a front screen. Well…only a year left on this stupid contract.

Yikes!!!
That would scare the crap out of me. I probably would have slowed to a stop and turned on my emergency lights or something, and if they stopped their car, too, I would have fucking booked.
I hate it when people follow me, even if they’re not tailgating, though LOL. I make a point of not tailgating since I’m usually tired when I drive, and I just expect my reaction times to not be as good as they should be. It helps.
That sucks about your phone. Is there no way to get a new phone under the same plan with the same features as your old phone? At least you can use your dad’s, though.

Hmmm…I never thought about doing that. Sounds like a better plan.
Well…to replace it and get the exact same phone is $50 but to get a new different one, the cheapest they have is $150 because I won’t be getting the deals you get when you sign the contract. And we never have phone insurance. But I’m not that concerned about it. I never really use it, except for talking and texting Mike.
